How BayouEdge helps

How Lost Bid Analysis works

Who it is for

Vendors who recently lost a public bid and plan to bid again with the same agency or a similar one. Especially useful before a re-solicitation or the next annual contract.

What you receive

  • Requirement-by-requirement comparison of the solicitation and your response
  • Scoring and evaluation analysis, where the agency published scores
  • Public award research: who won, at what price, when disclosed
  • Pricing comparison when bid tabulations are public
  • Compliance and missing-document gap list
  • Competitor positioning notes from the public record
  • A written improvement report with prioritized corrective steps
  • A follow-up call to walk through the findings

Plain terms

Limits and what is not included

  • We can only analyze documents you provide and records the agency has made public.
  • We only state why a bid was lost when the documentation supports it. Otherwise findings are labeled as hypotheses.
  • This is a business review, not legal advice. Bid protests and procurement disputes need a licensed attorney.
  • A review does not guarantee a future award.
  • BayouEdge is a private company. It is not a government agency and is not affiliated with or endorsed by SAM.gov, Bonfire, or any procurement office. Registration in SAM.gov is free from the U.S. government. No one can guarantee a contract award, and BayouEdge does not.

Questions

Lost Bid Analysis FAQ

Can you tell me exactly why I lost?

Only when the documents show it, for example a published score sheet or a disqualification notice. When they do not, we tell you which causes are most likely, why, and what record would confirm them.

What documents should I send?

The solicitation and any addenda, the proposal you submitted, your pricing forms, and whatever the agency sent you afterward: the award notice, evaluation scores, or debriefing notes. More documentation means firmer conclusions.

Are my documents kept private?

Yes. Uploads are stored on a private server, are never published, and are only accessible to BayouEdge staff working on your review.

Can you file a bid protest for me?

No. Protests are legal proceedings with strict deadlines. If the review suggests a procedural problem, we will tell you so you can talk to an attorney promptly.
